At the foot of the mountain, technological changes transform work, the relationship of people with the land and community life. Of some tools, one already wonders what they were used for; hands and gestures preserve knowledge that still endures. In the upper Leogra Valley, ancient crafts are silently dying out, replaced by industrial innovations. The soundscape changes, and with it social relations and the ancestral relationship with the land. The authors carry out patient and meticulous work against oblivion, researching and recording on the ridge of the two sound worlds.

Gian Pietro Cazzola is a musician with a passion for videomaking. He collaborates with various film productions. Andrea Colbacchini has been working since 2013 on documentaries for cinema and television, focusing on landscape, history, and anthropology. Luigi De Frenza is a photographer from Vicenza with a long-standing collaboration with the Teatro Civico of Schio. He also works in videomaking.
