During the construction of the Tren Maya infrastructure network, the largest railway project in Latin America, Falú works on the identification and preservation of archaeological remains. In the jungle, he encounters a nahual, a figure from Mayan and Aztec mythology, which becomes part of his perceptual reality: his body is traversed by a coexistence with the spirits of the past, evoking a different relationship to the land. _History Doesn’t Know My Name Yet _reflects on the effects of top-down development, where, in the name of progress, environmental, social, and cultural costs risk becoming irreversible.
