Serbia, a woman and a young man try to find their roots in a country they cannot yet call home. Mirjana and Borislav represent two generations of refugees in search of an identity after the break-up of Yugoslavia. Now they embark on a journey into the past to embrace the future and put down roots, finding a new home, in the present.

Davor Marinković was born in Serbia and grew up in Vicenza, Italy. He graduated from the University of Padua with a thesis on Steve McQueen and Sean Bobbitt. He has directed five short films: Post Fata Resurgo (2012), Get off my cloud (2014), Portrait (2015), There are shipwrecks even here (2017), Reznica (2022).
