Four piglets take part in a school visit to a factory. They are welcomed by workers wearing pig masks, who enthusiastically and seemingly harmoniously explain how the company operates. Everything appears reassuring, until one of the little pigs wanders away from the group and catches a glimpse of what lies behind the façade of the “Happy Pig Brand”. Made in stop-motion, The Happy Pig Brand brings together tenderness and terror, childish aesthetics and grotesque imagery, creating a satire of the intensive meat industry and the mechanisms of denial that sustain it.
Léo Bournas Milazzo is an animator who graduated in 2024 from the University of the West of England in Bristol with The Happy Pig Brand.
